relaywire: Oh man, Guadalajara is incredible for that. The older buildings have so much personality, you know? I haven't been in a while but I remember the light hitting those colonial facades in the evening.

kettleloop: That's exactly what I want to find. Not the tourist version, just the real feeling of a place. Do you think people there are different from Madrid, or is it more about noticing?

relaywire: I think it's both? The warmth is real, but yeah, a lot depends on actually looking instead of just passing through. Maybe that's why I draw instead of just walk.

kettleloop: I get that. I walk and greet every dog, which people think is weird, but it's my way of really being somewhere. Feels like you're doing something similar with your sketches.
